NCMA was established in 1945 to organize "bus" owners and operators and enable them to have a collective voice in promoting bus transportation. In 1950, the membership was expanded to include Associates (suppliers). The membership has grown over the years giving NCMA financial resources to help achieve political influence in the General Assembly through lobbying efforts. Look in History for more information about the Association.

NCMA holds an annual meeting and market place when all members come together for information sharing and selling. The Annual Meeting and Market Place is held early in the year before motorcoach transportation becomes busy in the spring. Look in Events and News for more information about the 2008 Annual Meeting.

NCMA holds an annual picnic and business meeting for Operator Members in the fall when issues facing owners and operators are discussed and plans are made to address them. NCMA employs a full time lobbyist who keeps a watchful eye on legislation that may impact motorcoach transportation in North Carolina. Look in Personnel for more information.

NCMA is an affiliate member of the American Bus Association and the United Motorcoach Association to stay abreast of issues and concerns at the national level. Look in Contact Us for more information.
